We are the Cal Poly American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter, a club that is dedicated towards promoting learning, networking, and fun for all civil engineering students. Our club has been active since 1980, and we hope to continue our success for many more years to come. Students can receive hands-on experience by joining our project teams, Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge, or by participating in our Mentorship Program, Career Fairs, social events, and community service events. With over 300 members in our club, we have had a lot of success and accomplished many achievements over the years, all thanks to our hard working members and the support from families, alumni, faculty, and companies across the country. With their help, we have been able to place top 3 over the last 30 years at Pacific Southwest Regional Conference and win the 2017 Robert Ridgway Student Chapter Award. Additionally, our project teams have placed first and qualified for the ASCE National Competition 15 of the last 17 years.
While it takes lots of hard work and commitment to achieve those results, we understand not all students are able to participate extensively which is why we have tons of social events to familiarize students with each other while having a lot of fun! From camping trips to intramural sports or planting trees for the community, there are endless opportunities to make friends and memories in our club!
Whether you are looking to learn more about civil engineering, find an internship or job, get involved with one of our project teams, or simply have fun with awesome people, Cal Poly ASCE is the place to be!
