Welcome!

We are the Cal Poly American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter, a club that is dedicated towards promoting learning, networking, and fun for all civil engineering students. Our club has been active since 1980, and we hope to continue the success we’ve had for many more years to come. Students can get involved through the hands-on experience provided by joining one of our project teams - Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge - or by participating in our Mentorship Program, Career Fair, social events, and community service events. With over 300 members in our club, we have had lots of success and accomplished many achievements over the years, all thanks to our hard working members and the support of families, alumni, faculty, and companies across the country. With their help, we have been able to place top 3 over the last 31 years at the Pacific Southwest Regional Conference, and win the 2017 Robert Ridgway Student Chapter Award. Additionally, through all of our hard work and commitment, our project teams have placed first and qualified for the ASCE National Competition in 16 of the last 18 years.

Along with our competition teams, we host tons of social events to familiarize students with each other while having a lot of fun! If you are looking to get to know other civil engineering students at Cal Poly, we have events ranging from camping trips and intramural sports teams, to planting trees for the community and Thai dye nights! There are endless opportunities to make friends and long lasting memories in our club!

Whether you are looking to learn more about civil engineering, find an internship or full time job, get involved with one of our project teams, or simply have fun with awesome people, Cal Poly ASCE is the place to be!
